Do I like XTB?
Yes, I like it a lot.
Do I always use XTB?
No, I don't. I really like it for creating and managing investment portfolios (with ETFs), but for more active trading I use other options.
Isn't XTB suitable for more active trading?
Yes, it is. But I prefer brokers that offer MetaTrader for active trading (e.g., Forex)... it's a matter of personal preference, as the XTB platform is by no means bad.
Do I recommend XTB?
It's one of my favorite brokers. Very good regulation, excellent customer service, and a great range of assets. Absolutely, I recommend it.

Is XTB safe? | Regulation and guarantees

Without a doubt, we can say that XTB is a completely safe broker, in terms of its financial activity.
In fact, it is so regulated that it is overseen by the main European supervisory authorities, as shown in the following table:
| Supervisory authority | Country |
| FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) | United Kingdom |
| KNF (Financial Supervisory Authority) | Poland |
| BaFiN | Germany |
| CySEC | Cyprus (also applies to Europe) |
Finally, for added security, XTB is a publicly traded company, which increases transparency and accountability in its financial management. If you're interested in finding out more, it's listed on the Polish Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol XTB.
Available assets:
XTB offers a wide range of financial products, including more than 5,800 instruments, allowing traders to diversify their portfolios and find opportunities in different markets (stocks, bonds, cryptocurrencies, etc.).
However, the broker stands out for its offering of ETFs and investment plans (What are ETFs?).
ETFs are essentially a collection of stocks , bonds , or other assets, diversified into a single fund. This allows you to gain exposure to a market sector, such as healthcare, artificial intelligence, or technology companies, without having to buy each company individually. They are often a very good product for beginners because they provide a simple and diversified way to invest in the stock market with fewer risks and drawbacks .
Investment plans with XTB
An investment plan, on the other hand, is basically a portfolio of ETFs. The key features of this product are:
- The client decides which ETFs are part of that portfolio, and in what percentage.
- There is a universe of more than 300 ETFs to choose from (equities, fixed income, commodities, etc.).
- There is an option to make automatic contributions to your investment plan, so you can set up the auto-investment option and each month the amount the client wants will be contributed to their investment plan(s), respecting the weightings that the client had initially set up.
You can find out more about the investment plans offered by XTB here.

Commissions
Fees depend on the asset traded and the account type (you can see a breakdown of all fees at this link ). The broker does not charge fees for spot stocks and ETFs
XTB Platforms
Next, let's look at the platform that XTB: xStation 5.
xStation 5

xStation 5 is a professional and comprehensive trading platform designed to meet the needs of trading in different financial markets, such as forex, indices, commodities and stocks, from a single account.
- Usability: It should be added that although its interface is not the most intuitive out there, it more than makes up for it, allowing traders to operate in any type of market with just a couple of clicks.
- Tools: It offers advanced technical analysis tools, such as indicators, oscillators, and chart patterns, that help traders make more informed decisions. In addition, xStation 5 provides real-time financial news, allowing traders to stay abreast of the latest economic and financial developments that may affect the markets.
XTB mobile app
The mobile app XTB is designed to allow traders to operate in the financial markets from anywhere, at any time, using their mobile device. The mobile app offers the same features and services as xStation 5, including the ability to trade in various financial markets, advanced technical analysis tools, real-time financial news, and a user-friendly and intuitive interface.
In fact, it only remains to add that the mobile app XTB is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems, which means it can be downloaded and used on any mobile device.
And as with the web version, traders can also customize the application according to their personal preferences, making the trading experience more comfortable and tailored to their needs.
Customer service at XTB
Customer service is highly rated, offering support in Spanish 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday via chat, email, or telephone.
XTB Awards
A key aspect for any broker to consider is its national and international recognition. XTB has received numerous awards from various public and private financial institutions and organizations over the years, and continues to be one of the brokers with the most awards.

My experience with XTB
Among the things I like about this broker, three stand out in particular: its excellent customer service, the trading platform offered, and the range of investment plans for those looking to invest long-term.
XTB is one of my favorite brokers for trading stocks. This is largely because XTB doesn't charge commissions for spot stock trading and because of the platform it provides to traders.
When you start trading, you'll discover that it's important to familiarize yourself with the platform you'll be using. This always involves a learning curve, and in some cases, this learning curve can be quite long, especially with more robust trading platforms (e.g., Interactive Brokers). This robustness often comes at the expense of the platform's simplicity. In other words, the more feature-rich the trading platform, the more difficult and complex it tends to be to use.
Knowing this, XTB has developed a trading platform that, without sacrificing many of the tools that the most active traders look for, remains extremely user-friendly.
Furthermore, if after trying the platform you still feel you need help, you can always turn to XTB support , one of the best customer service departments I've ever encountered. For these two reasons alone, XTB is a broker worth trying.
Another major advantage of XTB is its investment plans. Essentially, an investment plan is a portfolio of ETFs, although much simpler to set up operationally. This product is ideal for long-term investing because it allows for small, regular contributions.
It's important to know that you are the one who decides which ETFs are part of this portfolio, and in what percentage.
The truth is, I have no complaints about XTB. For these reasons, and many more, XTB holds a prominent place among the best stockbrokers, and is one of the brokers I use and recommend most often.

⚠️ The worst thing about XTB according to users
- Currency conversion fee: A 0.5% fee is applied when converting currencies, which may affect those who invest in international markets.
- Inactivity fee: Charges $10/€ monthly after 12 months of inactivity on the account, which may be a disadvantage for passive investors.

- Fees for large portfolios: A custody fee applies to accounts exceeding $250,000 USD/€, which may be a consideration for high-net-worth investors.

Hello. I like the broker, but you need to know which assets to trade with it.
Hi Pepe,
You're right. It works very well for stocks and ETFs, though it also depends on your trading style. I also recommend it if you're just starting out; in fact, it's on my list of the best brokers for beginners.
Generally speaking, those of us who enjoy this world find it very useful to have accounts with different brokers and trade with one or another depending on what we're looking for at the time.
