This broker is characterized by its strict security measures. It offers negative balance protection (it is not possible to lose more than the amount deposited in the account, and no debts will be incurred with the broker), and client funds are completely segregated from Vantage.
In addition, Vantage conducts regular audits and has insurance to compensate its customers if necessary.
I've been using this broker for years for my Forex trading, and even for Bitcoin trading, and I've never had any problems. However, there's something you should be extremely careful about: scammers impersonating the broker. Just like with eToro and other well-known brokers, there are people who call or send messages pretending to be official broker representatives to try and steal your money. Always verify that you're communicating through official channels and never share personal information or credentials with third parties.

Finally, it's worth noting that Vantage has a dispute resolution procedure. Clients can submit suggestions, raise concerns, and address any issues they wish. For this broker, client communication is of paramount importance.
My experience with Vantage
I use Vantage to trade cryptocurrencies, indices, and even forex. I'm very happy with the trading platforms they offer (I use MetaTrader 5), their strict regulation, and their customer support.
I started trading with this broker in order to test it for this review, but I felt so comfortable with it that I stayed with it.
This broker suits my trading style very well, which I would describe as relaxed. You can swing trade or even day trade with this broker, but it's not a broker that specializes in aggressive scalping (no broker that offers MetaTrader as its platform does) or is suitable for long-term trading.
The truth is that Vantage is quite similar to its compatriots IC Markets and Pepperstone (both Australian), however I would give Vantage a couple of extra points for customer service.
I think it's fair to say that Vantage is an ideal broker to start trading safely and easily, especially if you're looking to speculate on Forex or cryptocurrencies, risking little money.
When I first had the opportunity to try this broker, it wasn't very well known outside of Asia, but in a very short time, and thanks to several sponsorships and awards won, it became very popular among traders in different parts of the world.
So much so that it wasn't long before the typical scammers appeared, posing as the broker's sales agents. I've already heard of several cases of this type of fraud.
Be very careful with these people, and remember that Vantage will never call you on the phone if you haven't contacted the broker beforehand; in fact, no serious broker would do that, but in Vantage it's particularly obvious because it doesn't have any business offices outside of Australia.
If you're interested in trading with this broker, open an account through the Vantage and never share your login credentials with anyone. Never let anyone else manage your money. No one will look after your savings like you would yourself. You control your investments, don't forget that.

It's a scam. They can't operate in Spain thanks to the CNMV's oversight, yet they still operate and scam people. There are many complaints on different websites in different countries about accounts disappearing, not paying out profits, and leading to debt

What you're saying isn't correct. What the CNMV (Spanish National Securities Market Commission) regulates is the advertising of CFDs. This applies to any broker that offers CFDs among its products (e.g., eToro, AvaTrade, Admirals, etc.). In other words, these brokers can promote other products, but not CFDs, nor Forex. The broker itself isn't prohibited from operating in Spain; I've been using it for years.
And the criticisms you're referring to are almost entirely related to identity theft—in other words, people impersonating the broker. The broker is aware of this situation and works to prevent it, but it's nearly impossible to control. In fact, it's not the only broker that suffers from this; many others have as well (I've even heard of cases where scammers impersonate a MetaTrader representative, even though MetaTrader is just a trading platform. But people don't know this and fall victim to the scam). This is why you should never trust someone who calls you and asks you to entrust your investments to them. Vantage will never call you (no reputable broker does unless you've requested it).
Regarding regulations, Vantage is regulated by two of the world's strongest regulatory bodies: the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Australia's Financial Standards and Insurance Commission (ASIC). With such stringent regulations, there's no possibility of any account disappearing. I recommend you learn more about these issues, as you seem confused.
